THE PLAYBOOK · TNETUNII
An introduction to playing Russian Solitaire
Choose a round of Russian Solitaire and settle into its rules. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Look at what changes after your first action.
Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.
Take a closer look while playing
Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Make the next step deliberately.
What counts as success
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Keep the controls in easy reach.
How to proceed
- Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Your inputs
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Check any mode label before starting.
Work through an example
A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Check the stated objective.
One detail worth checking
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
